OSGeo Wiki editing attempt leads to HTTP ERROR 500

Description
I am trying to edit my user page but get:
wiki.osgeo.org is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
I tried with different browsers but it seems to be a server-side problem.

In 2006 I started here: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/User:Neteler and later turned it into a redirect to the "full name" page.

okay something definitely wrong here. I tried editing and took a long time and then came back with a blank page (which I presume is probably a 500 error)
However I notice the sub edit links appear to work. So must be something amiss with the top part.

https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/3006 also has wiki requests timing out, but it's different in that pages don't even load. I still suspect they're related.

Moving my prior still open items to the next proposed Milestone
neteler what is your user page? I tried editing my user page and had no issue. So I suspect something specific with your page, like perhaps a plugin in use on that not enabled correctly that I don't have, since you've been around so long :)
