mailing list LIVE getting spam

for months and perhaps years, the osgeo mailing list

has been quiet, almost zero spam.. three or four a month or similar. Starting on 09Nov23, spam is on the list.. first set of twelve msgs, next set is eighteen msgs.. Not "terrible" but why did this begin now?

Nothing changed in Mailman configuration, it's just happening that more spammers are trying to send spam to the list, I guess. This is why most lists (including the LIVE one) require subscriptions, right ?

I'm not sure there's much to do here, other than maybe adding overall spam filtering on the incoming email, which could be better handled in ticket #3009

I did not get those mails. I inspected the archives and could not find a mail like that.

@cvvergara all emails on that list are moderated.. I have marked fifty emails "discard" in five days.. there are more today?

Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined. to: Discard.
