As people have mentioned a lot and noted in #2923 The LDAPMerge and WikiToLDAP plugin is broken for new users. We've been fixing individual accounts as we went along. I'm going to focus on fixing permananently by just removing it or upgrade wiki further.
Hope to focus on that this week.
I don't think we really need this plugin anymore since anybody with an old account should have upgraded their account by now, and any who really want their old profile back, we can merge with their old account using the UserMerge plugin.
