#4570 closed defect (fixed)

raster2pgsql file missing from postgis 3.0.0 on Windows 10

Reported by: robgskn Owned by: robe
Priority: medium Milestone: PostGIS 3.0.0
Component: build/upgrade/install Version: 3.0.x

Description

Dear PostGIS,

Thank you for the great work you do. My fresh installs on Windows 10 of postgis 3.0.0 on Postgres 12 and Postgres 11.5 have failed to install any raster2pgsql.exe file in the PostgreSQL/11/bin or PostgreSQL/12/bin folder. I only get this file with a fresh install of postgis 2.5.*, not 3.0.0. Since the 3.0.0 user guide still states raster2pgsql is the normal way of loading rasters, I am stuck. thank you.

Sorry not sure how I missed shipping that. I'll try to have another version out next week. Thanks for alerting.

I rebuilt the PostGIS 3.0.0 can find here:

https://winnie.postgis.net/download/windows/

(11 one is - https://winnie.postgis.net/download/windows/pg11/buildbot/postgis-pg11-binaries-3.0.0w64gcc81.zip )

If you are in a rush - you can copy the raster2pgsql from there and it should work with your install.

I'm working on repackaging the installers

Milestone: PostGIS 3.0.1PostGIS 3.0.0

I've redeployed installers for 12, 11, 10 windows 64-bit on application stackbuilder and https://download.osgeo.org/postgis/windows

You can just reinstall and you should get raster2pgsql as well as the other updates.

In addition it has updated GDAL and GDAL dependency libraries (which will affect both raster2pgsql, raster, and ogr_fdw)
