Description

Last build we have is r10195 which was about a day or so ago.

I also can't get to the Hudson server to check on it.

Yep. Definitely dead. Maybe time to move the master node to something shared?

Yes agreed. What is your preference of OS.

FWIW Refractions is moving to new office this week so server is disconnected. I think now is a good time to bite the bullet and let no crisis go unwasted :).

My preference of OS doesn't count (Slackware) as very few people use it and those that do usually roll their own. I'd suggest Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora or CentOS but my skills with all of them are just enough to get myself into trouble.

Bborie,

I was thinking Debian since that is common but I don't think they even have a 2.0 out for it. I could be wrong.

On another note while we are deciding on a new Linux bot, I added a job on Winnie to build the PostGIS 2.10 tar ball (that's the new name I'm going to call it for Winnie the Pooh :) )

Can you all test to see if it's up to Linux worthiness.

I put a tar ball up generated by my winbot. Can you test it for Linux worthiness?

I figure while we are building the new linbot, I'd feel more comfortable if my current can serve as a backup.

One thing I had to do in addition to the standard make_dist.sh stuff is to pass the folder thru dos2unix since when I do the svn export , it exports as windows native format which I think is offensive to Linux machines.

Okay I have the html 2.1 docs building from Winnie whenever change in code and gets uploaded to PostGIS website.

I've got a Debian 6 64-bit Jenkins bot started called Debbie which I have so far set to build GEOS Trunk and GDAL Trunk whenever any changes in those projects. Still have to add the other builds like PostgreSQL, proj etc. before she's ready to really start work.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Debbie and winnie have taken over and more than supplanted Hudson's role.

We need a larger kingdom of buildbots that also distribute hot packages. That's a struggle for another time.
