sudo apt-get install curl
How does it fail? Otherwise we have to guess.
Guessing- you need to do this first:
sudo apt-get update
Is this a wish that curl be installed by default, or an error report that apt-get install doesn't work? If the wish, no real objection (unless it wants many MB of deps), but from the anti-redundancy and curiosity depts.: what does curl give that wget doesn't already supply?
libcurl3 and libcurl3-gnutls are installed on the disc.
closing ticket . feel free to reopen if there is anything more to say.
