Markus,

So you have an account to login into servers like geodata.osgeo.org, and shell.osgeo.org? If so, that account should also work on download.osgeo.org, and all I need to do is create a directory owned by your userid on the download tree.

(snatching this ticket unless someone else wants it)

Frank,

that's right, I do have access to those machines.

Markus,

I have created the directory /osgeo/download/grass and chown'ed it to neteler. So you should be able to put stuff in it by ssh/sftp/scp'ing it to the machine download.osgeo.org.

Let me know if you would prefer this be an rsync or similar mirror of somewhere else. I'm sure this could also be setup as long as we aren't talking about more than a couple gigabytes of space as space on the blades is currently somewhat limited.

BTW, the directory is now visible for download at:

Frank,

thanks - I have uploaded a few files. For now it's ok, maybe in future a fancier rsync approach would be reasonable.

Best, Markus

Markus,

I'd be willing to work on rsync support now if you are interested. Would you like this tree to be a conventional mirror of the grass central download site using rsync?
