users reports unable to create a new topic

I received an email from fsquadro@…:

I am writing to you because I have registered on the GeoServer Forum, but I am unable to add a new topic. See:

connected via GitHub and my email is contato@… (in case you need it to release access)

Taking advantage of the email, see if you can help me. I'm creating an SLD for lots and blocks, but I would like the measurements to always be within the polygon, and if you notice, some are outside.

Do you know if there's a way I can do this, if it's a limitation? I appreciate your help in advance.

It appeared they were using the GeoServer category, not GeoServer/user. Providing this feedback resulted in:

Added the user and still no access. Is this how it's supposed to work?

They eventually gave up:

There was no trick, as I can't send it through the forum, I sent it by email (to the geoserver user list)

Please help, we turn off the user list at the end of the month and I wish to ensure the forum is functional.
