Description

We would like to move three Italian mailing lists to the new Discourse OSGeo instance.

The candidates are:

  • GFOSS.it public
  • Consiglio this is private for the association board and could be named GFOSS.it-board
  • Soci GFOSS this is privare for the association members and could be named GFOSS.it-members

About the new names I need confirmation from actual board

Test on staging

Loaded gfoss:

Loaded opendata into gfoss

Loaded archeologia

Loaded private mbox foss4g2022

Note: I recommend to create the categories & groups before uploading to production. That will allow to organize categories.

  • Discourse Nesting limit 1 level under root.

@lucadelu Please write in the ticket:

  • which lists to migrate:
  • if you would like to merge into gfoss the unused mailing lists: archeologia, comitato-scientifico gfoss-day-cs opendata
  • If gfoss (or which ones) is going to be a mirror
  • If you also want to have the move/mirror ones

Note that the lists can change names for example: archeologia can be archeologia-it

@ccvergara thanks a lot for your work, I'm going to update the GFOSS board and I'll be back to you as soon as possible with answers to your questions.

@ccvergara so we would like to have

  • exclude from any operation: foss4g2022, gfoss-day, gfoss-day-cs, comitato-scientifico. These are not useful anymore
  • gfoss public with archeologia and opendata merged
  • soci.gfoss and consiglio as private category

None of them should be mirror since we are going to shut down the old server.

Should I do anything ?

Q: For

"soci.gfoss and consiglio as private category"

you mean

  • one category for both (merged)
  • one category each?
Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
