Mike tells me that we already have auto pay set up with PairNIC and SAC can purchase the data4all.org domain very simply.

Doesn't look like this was ever done. Is there a reason for the holdup?

No one with access saw the ticket is my guess.

Checking briefly it seems that dataforall.org could easily be confused with data4all.org as both would be open source related projects, dataforall.org even references OGC standards. The .com variant is also squatted. Is there a committee that's making this request? Could we run the naming by the Marketing? I'm hesitant to push the purchase on this one without some more backing. As a compromise I could do 1 year without auto-renewal which is cheap, in the event that we go a different direction.

If we do purchase, where should this point to?

Closing, as this is so old and this likely needs to be driven by a committee or Board-level, instead of a ticket by me. I personally think this would have been great at the time, but now it's 2022. Onwards.
