#1514 closed defect (fixed)

Low disk space/quota?

Reported by: jng Owned by: sac@…

Description

I've been trying to upload binaries for MapGuide Open Source 3.0 and I've been stuck on the Windows binaries.

After several tries, I've noticed a pattern where WinSCP consistently fails at the 48MB mark.

Has upload.osgeo.org ran out of disk space or has some quota been exceeded?

Yes (it is actually download.osgeo.org)

download:/osgeo/download# df -h .
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/vda3 149G 142G 47M 100% /

download:/osgeo/download# du -hs * | grep G | sort -n
1.2G buildkit
1.2G gvsig
1.4G grass
1.5G gdal
3.1G logs
3.3G osgeo
3.7G postgis
3.8G	pgrouting
5.0G	livedvd
5.7G	fdo
6.3G	webdav
7.7G	qgis
23G	ossim
30G	osgeo4w
35G	mapguide

At least the mapguide, osgeo4w, ossim projects should consider to delete outdated data as possible and as not needed for historical reasons.

35G!? I guess I can clear out some old beta and RC release packages.

If increasing disk space is not in your immediate plans, you can close this ticket.

Please do. Download was filling up again. To solve a immediate need, I've cleaned out 2.2.0/{Beta,RC1,RC2,RC3,RC4} already.

513M osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/Beta
648M osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/RC1
236M osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/RC2
805M osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/RC3
1.1G osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/RC4
3.2G total

I made backups - please tell me whether you need them or if I can nuke them.

download is now back to:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/vda3 149G 139G 2.1G 99% /

But there are still 14GB worth of RCs, tests and betas:

885M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.4.0/RC1
887M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.4.0/RC2
994M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.5.0/RC1
994M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.5.0/RC2
989M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.6.0/RC1
989M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.6.0/RC2
782M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/3.0.0/RC1
1.3G	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.4.0/Test
689M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.5.0/Test
551M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/3.0.0/x64_Test1
115M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.1.0/MapGuideOpenSource-2.1.0.3891-Beta1.exe
116M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.2.0/MapGuideOpenSource-2.2.0.4829-Beta1.exe
885M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.4.0/Beta1
978M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/2.5.0/Beta1
2.1G	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/3.0.0/Beta1
776M	/osgeo/download/mapguide/releases/3.0.0/Beta2
14G	total
