All,
If this is not set as an application then the Web Tier Tests fail under the "Server Admin" where some of the DotNet tests reference this application in the test URL. This is still not set in the XP-version of installer 0.7

I consider this a bug in the Web Tier tests (and have submitted a ticket). They should not be referencing files directly from the individual viewer folders, and the server helper script with hard-coded admin password should definitely not be in there. If users really need access to these (incredible insecure) tests under .Net, they can create the vdir themselves.
I don't believe that that directory is supposed to be mapped as a virtual dir / application; it's only supposed to be referenced by the mapviewerajax virtual directory, and then only if the .Net viewer is selected during installation. Are you saying that mapviewernet isn't properly referenced by the mapviewerajax virtual directory?
If this is the case, did you select an IIS install, select the .Net viewer, and have ASP.Net 2.0 installed before you ran the installer?
