Maestro - Preview Raster Layers Do Not Show

Description

Maestro Trunk and MapGuide 2.4 RC

I have a map (updated to 2.4 schema) with three raster layers at different scales. In the mapdefinition UI they are:

  • Layer Visible at Startup
  • Layer is Shown in Map Legend

When I preview the map no layers are shown. Expected behaviour is that the layers relevant to current scale are shown.

I don't see the same with vector layers. I am not sure if it is Maestro but guess it's in the converting to session map from library that something is not retained?

Hopefully this is simple to recreate as I cant' supply the raster for the featuresource.

I have such a map on me and I cannot see this problem

Are the initial map view coordinates correct? Does error.log report anything strange?

So... I have a map in a folder structure \Data \Layers \Maps that previews OK.

What I had done (and can replicate) is that if I copy that whole folder structure with right-click copy and then right-click paste so the new (1) project is parallel with the original... Then the map still previews data OK but the layers do not show in the legend!?!!?

I have compared the XML and can't see anything different, just the preview map legend is blank!

Component: MaestroAJAX Viewer
Milestone: Maestro-5.02.4

Ok this is very strange.

The problem is that legend.aspx is failing to write the scale ranges for the associated layers for the copied folder. Why this happens I have yet to find out.

I have tried viewing the same map with the PHP viewer and don't see any problems. It looks like a problem that is localized to the .net viewer (Java unconfirmed)

Just a note that the same effect is also on "Duplicate" layers feature. I was completely flummoxed yesterday when one WMS layer worked and another didn't - until I remembered that I had used duplicate as a shortcut.

Must remember to ALWAYS create new raster layers from "New Resource"!

Can you confirm if it is still specific to the .net AJAX viewer?
