GRASS GIS 5.4.1 Release
GRASS 5.4.1 has been packaged and released today, 26th July 2007. The source code is available on the main GRASS website at http://grass.osgeo.org/grass54/source/ and on numerous mirror sites.
This is a legacy release of the "classic" 5.x GRASS series. This release includes various accumulated bugfixes since the 5.4.0 release in November 2004, but MANY BUGS STILL REMAIN and have since been fixed in the 6.x GRASS series, where development is still ongoing. This 5.4.1 release is basically unsupported and is provided only as a courtesy to users who, for whatever reason, cannot use a 6.x GRASS release.
The current stable release of GRASS is 6.4.2, released 19th February 2012, and the latest features are available as always in the development version, currently 6.5, and new development version (trunk), currently 7. Release overview can be found here and here.

- Various accumulated minor bugfixes
- Many more bugs have only been fixed in the 6.x development series, and usage of it is strongly recommended over 5.x.
