Description
Please remove the second warning asking users "are you really sure you want to proceed?" when launching GRASS with a locked mapset. The first message is sufficient.

I think the first message is sufficient. I don't remember seeing 2 dialogs in any other software. Especially when in this case the risk is fairly low that something bad will happen.
Also, many times the lock is there because users didn't close GRASS correctly and then this message doesn't make much sense.
Finally, if it's that important, why it's not implemented on Windows?

Two dialogs have a meaning. The user should be absolutely sure what he/she is doing. I would keep it as it is and close this ticket as wontfix.
