Lightbox freezes screen

Description
If you try to save and close a metadata (XML view) which fails because you use some unknown schema, causing "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Root element not set", the ligthbox is not removed from the page.
So the user cannot continue to use GeoNetwork in that page.
