Error when calling CSW service

Description
I've installed v2.6.3 and i get an error when trying to call the CSW service or test the CSW service.
URL: http://mydomain/geonetwork/srv/en/csw?request=GetCapabilities&service=CSW
Error: Cannot load/process capabilities

Looking at the code the problem could be caused by a few things (eg. missing xml config files, settings table missing system/csw/contactId) so we need more info - can you look in the log files (eg. web/geonetwork/WEB-INF/geonetwork.log) to see what the exception is and report that here too please?
I've since reinstalled geoserver and do not have this problem anymore. Your right, most likely missing files. I will close this ticket.
