Screen not "released"

During certain points when using GeoNetwork, the entire screen greys a little as a pop-up menu appears. During this "greying" the screen is locked up and only the pop-up is clickable.

This happened during a Error:500 javascript alert which simply told me of the Internal error and said "try again". When I clicked "ok", the alert disappeared but the screen remained greyed out and clicking on things didn't work. I had to re-load the page to get it back to a useable interface. Unfortunately this was during metadata editing (the alert popped up in response to my clicking "save and close") so I lost any changes I'd made. The bug is simple - the screen should always be "released" upon closing of a popup.
