Description
Ubuntu 10.10 maverick 64bit gdal 1.7.3-2~maverick1 from ubuntugis ppa
ogrinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libnetcdf.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
libnetcdf6 is installed libnetcdf4 is missing in ppa and Ubuntu-Repositories

This bug also appears on Ubuntu 12.04 with the gdal package 1.9.1-2 in ubuntugis-unstable PPA

Works for me today :
- gdal 1.9.1-2~precise4
- libnetcdf6 1:4.1.1-6
No more gdal for maverick... I think the issue can be closed

Apparently nobody handles Trac tickets. Closing this ancient issue as the Ubuntu release in question is EOL.
