Link SRID word to Wikipedia article about SRID

This report is to suggest linking all occurences of SRID word in the PostGIS documentation to SRID article in Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRID).

The PostGIS manual does not provide in-depth explanation of the SRID concept, so it would be helpful to explicitly point relevant resources.

Also, known SRID values used in examples could be linked to corresponding entries in spatialreference.org. For example, 4326 linked to  http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/4326/

Something bothers me about having all references of SRID linked to these links. Maybe its the fact that I feel it would be harder to fix later should these links change, and also it leaks too much page rank.

Can we maybe add these links to the spatial_ref_sys section and places where we have SRID referenced would link to the spatial_ref_sys section in the See Also section.

Kevin, can we have a cutesy anchor for the spatial_ref_sys section. Right now it looks like

which is kinda hard to remember.

On second thought I suppose we could put these links in the ST_SRID section. I think a lot of the pages already link to that and the ones that don't we can fix up.

Surely, it would work for me. Shortly, I've found that for newbies it's difficult to understand SRID concept while reading PostGIS manual, so to make their life easier I've suggested to point to SRID definition.

For me, any option would work, linking to the Wikipedia article, or SFS chapter or even providing some SRID overview directly included in the PostGIS manual.

Fleshed out the spatial reference system in 1.4 SVN docs and linked to useful references, gave friendly tag, added reference to it in ST_SetSRID, ST_SRID. A lot of the examples already link to ST_SRID.
