I have this layer of hospitals with a GIF symbol and I render maps with mapserv cgi on linux and on Windows. On windows it is ok, but on debian linux (FGS) the blue sign is allmost black. Versions tested: mapserver for Windows 4.6.? and 4.8.2 - OK FGS mapserver debian linux (4.8.1) has reported problem. FGS mapserver debian linux (4.8.2) could not render successfully (timeout).

I installed the binary package. I wonder if this has to do with the possibility of any other GD ou libgif library already on the system... If so what version should that be ?

Marking as INVALID. Can always repopen but again this seems like an OS/Setup issue with a particular version of Linux. Steve
