[Symbol] GIF images darker on linux that on windows

I have this layer of hospitals with a GIF symbol and I render maps with mapserv
cgi on linux and on Windows. On windows it is ok, but on debian linux (FGS) the
blue sign is allmost black.
Versions tested:
mapserver for Windows 4.6.? and 4.8.2 - OK
FGS mapserver debian linux (4.8.1) has reported problem.
FGS mapserver debian linux (4.8.2) could not render successfully (timeout).

There must be something wrong with FGS package or something. Describe your 
installation for me... (i.e. did you build from source, binary package or what)

I installed the binary package. I wonder if this has to do with the possibility
of any other GD ou libgif library already on the system... If so what version
should that be ?

It should match what FGS was built with. Likely 2.0.33...

Resolution: invalid
Status: newclosed
Marking as INVALID. Can always repopen but again this seems like an OS/Setup
issue with a particular version of Linux.
