ODBC Connect: Attempts to create a DSN connection fail with "connection string not set error"

Description

Attempts to create an ODBC connection using a DSN connection result in a "connection string not set error" when the user supplies the details and hits Test Connection. Subsequent attempts result in a 559 error and no ODBC connection can be made thereafter until the server is reset.
