Description
Hi Guys, I'm trying to use MapGuide and the documentation is utterly and completely inadequate. Its all extremely outdated and doesn't seem to reflect the current software at all. For example, http://mapguide.osgeo.org/faq_layerandmapdefinition.html - mentions Mapguide 1.0.1! I think that stuff is supposed to be done in Maestro now but there is no reference to it.
No-where is the workflow explained until I download and install Maestro separately (which the MapGuide documentation makes no reference to). References to the sample data and how to load it are all outdated, as is the sample data itself (it says its for 2.0.x).
I realise coming into the community and saying this probably isn't the done thing but its either that or just sweep the issue under the rug and let the documentation stagnate for another 5-6 years. Please don't get me wrong, the software looks capable, but if nothings documented then its really hard to use for new users.
