Maestro: hide tip of the day until login box dismissed?

Description
I personally found it annoying that the tip of the day was displayed but could not be dismissed until the connection dialog was dismissed. Perhaps just personal preference, but I would have found it less disconcerting if it waited until after the connection was completed to pop up.

Rather than a popup, maybe all the tips could be displayed in tab as the initial home page?
