Maestro: considering warning user when encountering unfamiliar elements, give option to open as XML instead

Description

I'm generating a lot of code in layer definitions that Maestro does not recognize in order to support complex stylization.

It would be useful if Maestro would warn when opening these hand-tweaked resources and prompt the user whether they want to open the XML editor instead of the GUI editor.

I'm worried that either I or one of the other admins here will accidentally create some pretty odd layers or not understand why something is working the way it is.

Could you post an example of such a layer?

Fixed with r4429.

I added a check and a warning message.

Due to the seperation between the resource editors and the main application, it is not currently easy to open the resource as an xml.
