Description
Section 6.3.4.1 of the specification on Vertical CS Type Codes indicates that values 5101 to 5106 are appropriate for vertical coordinate systems Newlyn to Caspian Sea.
However these are actually vertical datum codes in EPSG, and those ought to be used for VerticalDatumGeoKey. Instead the VerticalCSTypeGeoKey ought to be assigned codes from the coordinate_reference_system table that have a type of "vertical" (in my opinion).
I believe this was either an error in the original specification or that the EPSG database may have subsequently been restructured making the original codes nonsensical.
I would suggest that the specification be corrected, though it would be prudent of applications to support assume VerticalCSTypeGeoKey values in the 5101 to 5106 range (or perhaps even in the 5101 to 5112 range be reinterpreted as values 5701 to 5712 - the corresponding vertical coordinate systems.
The specifications VertCS codes 5001 to 5033 (vertical datums based on ellipsoids) are also questionable and do not exist under these codes as vertical coordinate systems or vertical datums.
