gdalwarp compress=lzw fails on image

Description
I have an image which causes compress=lzw to fail. gdalwarp creates an outfile and appears to complete the 100% progress but fails to exit properly and creates a black image. It also fails to create the world file associated with the image. The output image is correct if I remove the compress option. I have been using gdalwarp to transform a number images succesfully. I can forward the image for testing.
