GetCategoryNames returns Null by using Erdas Imagine raster file

Frank,
what I like to do, is accessing the class names attributes from an Erdas 
Imagine raster file. I used the function GDALGetRasterCategoryNames but it 
always returns a null pointer. So my question is now, is the problem fixed yet 
or if not can you please point me the right direction.

At this time the Erdas Imagine driver does not support GetCatagoryNames().
I would expect this to get implementing within the next couple of months 
as part of a general improvement in Descriptor table support in the imagine
driver. 

I have changed this to an enhancement request.

Stephane Routelous has produced patches to implement this
in #819.  I am closing this as a dup of that even though this bug
came first.
