I am Didier Richard working for IGN France (the French National Mapping Agency). We have been using PROJ4JS for some time now in our Geoportal API project. As a contributor to PROJ.4, I have added two projections (generalized equirectangular and Gauss-laborde Réunion) and a tool for transforming PROJ.4 catalogues (namely IGNF in our case) to PROJ4JS.defs javascript entries (See build/resources directories).

I have attached the diff between the PROJ4JS svn and our current PROJ4JS use.

I believe the best thing to do is to split this ticket into several :

  • new projections : modified eqc (1 ticket) and new gauss-schreiber (1 ticket) ;
  • PROJ.4 catalogues tool : catalogue and tool (1 ticket) ;

I will also add a ticket for the main Javascript proj4js.js.
