Unexpected handling of invalid geometry from shp2pgsql

Description

When using shp2pgsql to convert the attached file (with an invalid geometry), it crashes. When using the -D flag, it continues, and Postgres rejects the geometry.

Is there a way for the loader to put a warning rather than quit?

This works fine for me with latest 1.5 SVN, so you should find this fixed in 1.5.2.
