[raster] gdal_translate can't produce image from latest trunk

Description

When running gdal_translate to get a geotiff from latest trunk I get a tiff of right size but 2/ of the image is just black.

Working with r9240

same as #1635 working as expected with latest binaries but sql-definitions from r9240, same machine, same everything

Maybe the same issue?

If you have problems reproducing this I can send the image I had issues with (35 mb)
