Description
work in http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/browser/spike/pramsey/doublebox
to be merged into trunk if all testing speeds look acceptable to everyone or to be pushed to 3.0 or cut if not acceptable.

Decision has been made
to stick with float cached boxes due to 10%+ speed penalty when using doubles.
