OSGeoLive translation moved to weblate. Please get involved!
- March 2023
Please join the translation team. You only need your OSGeo-ID to login.
If you do not have an OSGeo-ID please have a look at:
Create your own OSGeo-ID here https://id.osgeo.org/ldap/create . You can ask Vicky for the mantra. Please send a mail with subject "mantra for OSGeoLive" to vicky (dot) vergara (at) osgeo (dot) org. And please read the Getting started guide before https://www.osgeo.org/community/getting-started-osgeo/
It is easy to translate via weblate. And you will discover that it is fun. And you will see that there are other projects already.
You find the instructions for translators here: https://weblate.osgeo.org/projects/osgeolive/#information
We can always add new instructions, give us feedback based on your experience on weblate. Please subscribe to: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/osgeolive-doc where we, translators and documentation reviewers, can interact.
Some languages are already available on weblate. Others are on the way, by getting translations done on transifex:
Some we haven't decided yet as not much work was done in transifex, but if you are up to the task, we can also get what has been translated on transifex:
Please note that we do not use language extension any more, for example, only "pt" and not "pt_BR".
You are welcome to join our team!
It is one possibility to give something back to the project you like.
If you would like to add a new project or have another goal you would like to work on and get involved you are very welcome.
OSGeoLive (http://live.osgeo.org) is a Lubuntu based distribution of Geospatial Open Source Software, available via a Live DVD, Virtual Machine and USB. You can use OSGeoLive to try a wide variety of open source geospatial software without installing anything.
