Description

During the OSGeo Virtual Code Sprint we discussed about moving large projects to VM only.

Based on the discussion on the following PR, gvSIG is a candidate:

Just before beta1 I made a test build to determine how to fit gvSIG in the disk:

We would need to save 250MB of compressed archives, i.e. drop 2 other projects. I tried projects that are not graduated/incubated/community and found out that moving uDig and OpenJump to VM would make enough space to include gvSIG in the iso version.

Summary: Moving gvSIG to VM only status?Include gvSIG in iso?

Hi all,

We need to make a decision on this issue. Right now the only OSGeo Project not installed in OSGeoLive 14.0 beta1 iso is gvSIG. I am thinking that we should try to include it by moving some non OSGeo projects to VM only.

Thoughts?

Hi all,

I support that gvSIG should be in the ISO since it is an OSGeo Project.

after building master again, gvsig cannot fit by just dropping 2 projects (only by a few MBs)
