Oh wait, I might have confused different broken issues. Does the uDig Start menu icon even install? Or does the menu item install but not work (e.g., duplicate of #49)? If the Start menu icon doesn't install, what OS?

comment:3 by timmie, 14 years ago

OS: Windows XP. The menu item is not installed. The programme starts because there is a shortcut on the desktop.

uDig menus after advanced install -- none work

comment:5 by Mike Taves, 14 years ago

Here is what I observe with a fresh OSGeo4W install on Windows XP, using the advanced install method.

  • In the OSGeo4W Start menu group:
    • An empty "uDig" Start menu group is added
    • A "uDig" Start menu shortcut is added, but doesn't work (described in #49)
  • The shortcut added to the Desktop works normally

I've added a screenshot.
