Should zoom-refresh be just "view-refresh" ?

Description
Comparing current default QGIS icon set with Robert's one I stumbled on how "zoom-refresh" added a "zoom" component to the "refresh" concept which was independent before.
I don't see how "zoom" has to do with "refresh", is it a GRASS specific model ? I find it confusing for "zoom" to be part of that icon (both in name and picture) as the "refresh" action I'm used to is just a viewport refresh, unrelated to zooming.
