Use svnsync for offsite sync'ed subversion backup repositories

I would like to use the Subversion 1.4 svnsync command to maintain live read-only offsite backups of our subversion respositories. To some extent I hope this can replace the current hot copy backups which are very expensive for massive repositories like mapguide and fdo.
