Redirect in.osgeo.org to osgeo.in

Description

In his mail to Venka on the OSGeo-Discuss list Frank asked the local chapters to file a ticket for local chapter website redirection.

Currently ​http://osgeo.in redirects to ​http://lsi.iiit.ac.in/osgeoin For now there are no plans to change this.

I am the sysadmin to OSGeo-India website. If it is not hard to change it later, I request the SAC to redirect "in.osgeo.org" to "lsi.iiit.ac.in/osgeoin" and if it is hard, to "osgeo.in"

i wish id.osgeo.org redirect to www.osgeo.or.id -> indonesian chapter, run now .

OK, all are now in place.

The at.osgeo.org and de.osgeo.org directions were accomplished with DNS CNAMEs.

The rest were accomplished with DNS A records pointing to osgeo1, and rewrite rules in /etc/httpd/conf.d/rewrite.conf on that machine.

They point to some WMS rather than ​http://www.fossgis.de/

Is there anything to do at the fossgis.de end?

Just a guess: add a ServerAlias in the relevant section of your apache conf ?

FYI: The problem at fossgis.de end is now fixed for de.osgeo.org as well as at.osgeo.org

I seem to be getting a blank page at at.osgeo.org and de.osgeo.org. I would swear it was working when I first set it up. Depending on advice from Markus who requested the redirection I'd be willing to switch to using a redirect instead of a CNAME.

I'm also getting the blank page now. Somehow the rewrite conditions weren't working the way I thought. I changed it and it should work now, at least for me it does (again). Can someone else confirm this?

btw: osgeo.ch is also pointing to fossgis.de
