Description
Dear Osgeo team,
I get an error (which I attach below) message when I try to create new account. What is proper format for UserID (which characters are allowed, how long it should be).
Could You add a link to subpage which such information, please? ===================================================================================================================== https://www2.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/ldap_create_user.py User Creation Failed Create OSGeo Userid You are now creating an OSGeo userid. This userid should be usable with the main OSGeo web site, and various other OSGeo services, including OSGeo hosted project subversion and Trac. OSGeo userids are stored in a central LDAP server for which at this time only limited management options are available. So please try to get the following information right. Contact info@… if you desperately require a change.

Sincerely Yours,

Mateusz,
I meant special characters in the name, not the userid. However, I did go ahead and try creating your account to test this theory and it worked fine, so the accented character in the name was definately not the problem. You should now have the matandked account with the password "matpass". Please set a memorable and secure password at:
https://www2.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/auth/ldap_edit_user.py?userid=matandked
Unfortunately, this leaves me still not knowing why it didn't work for you.
I try to type matandked as UserId so it doesn't contain any special characters. Is there any other limitation?
I am using Chrome browser - maybe it was the reason?
