Description
All,
I hereby motion for OSGeo to provide Trac/SVN/mailman support for the spatialindex library (and implement myself).
spatialindex http://research.att.com/~marioh/spatialindex/ is an LGPL Rtree implementation by Marios Hadjieleftheriou that currently has its infrastructure housed at gispython.org. gispython.org's infrastructure isn't quite as nice as OSGeo's (remote svn access manipulation and self-registration for Trac are the big items), and moving it allows me to take responsibility for it.

I guess it's up to Hobu to close this if he confirm moving back to OSGeo infrastructure is not of interest any more (pity).

Motion was passed long ago. Now just waiting for me to actually do the migration work.
