Description

Hello, I have created and will be managing the social media account for OSgeo on "bluesky". See the profile below: https://bsky.app/profile/osgeo.bsky.social

I need to confirm the account with the email "social@…" as discussed in the discourse thread (check link below): https://discourse.osgeo.org/t/spreading-the-word-about-sol-katz-award-2024/111634/7?u=jsonsingh

After the email is veriffied, next step would be to add a TXT record so the handle of the bluesky user can be @osgeo.org and it shows a verified badge

I haven't checked but I assume you need to be added tot he social@… email group?

Is it okay if we revisit this in January?

I am not seeing a social@… email alias registered in our system, so I assume that needs creating and would need to know who is on there.

I apologize but I haven't received a message yet. Which email did you send it too? I resend the verification email from bluesky as well but i did not receive it in mail yet.

I sent it to social@… group email which has your social@… address and mine as members. I got it after I created the group so assumed it was working. I just verified I spelled your email right.

and I confirm I got my resend also which is the one that went at the same time as the one to you.

Hello, I am receiving the mail from social@osgeo.org but bluesky verification code still didn't appear. I have verified with social@jsonsingh.com but will update this once the mail issue is resolved.

Meanwhile I would like to request at add the following DNS record to get the handle osgeo.org

DNS Record:

- HOST: _atproto
- VALUE: did=did:plc:d7mkcche2g5zffuxru6et4f7
- TYPE: TXT

This should create a domain record at:

_atproto.osgeo.org

Checked the osgeo6 mail logs, yap looks like postgrey is greylisting and rejecting:
