Can't post to discourse with more than 2 links in post

Description

At GeoServer we just started using Discourse for the user forum. I've set it up in mailing list mode (may be relevant, or not), and noticed I can't post to the list and receive this error message:

"Sorry, new users can only put 2 links in a post."

Indeed, my work signature block has 3 links (aaime-geosolutions account).

Besides my specific issue, the limit makes me wonder about the usability of Discourse to discuss issues, it's quite common to link to specifications, sample data, sample requests or services, a limit on the number would seem to limit the ability to actually use the forum...

In summary:

  • As a longtime OSGeo charter member, can I get an exemption for my work account?
  • Should the links limit be raised a bit for the general users anyways?

This appears to be a default limitation for new users. I haven't checked how long it takes for a person to be no longer considered a new user.

At anyrate I have upped this limit from 2 to 6. Let me know if you feel this is not high enough.

Just a side note. Andrea your level was set to new user. I've upped it to member so you can submit as many links as you want. I'll keep the amended limit to 6 though.

I still need to review the rules on how a person goes thru the various trust levels.
