Description
Dear colleagues! I am happy to mention that we LOC 2024-Belém is about to finish the FOSS4G 2024 webpage; We are using the Hugo template in a github pages repository. Would be possible to have the 2024.foss4g.org redirecting to https://foss4g-2024-belem.github.io/webpage/ ?

For now, assuming you can do above, I put
2024.foss4g.org = foss4g-2024-belem.github.io
Let me know if that doesn't work for you. Will probably take a bit for dns to propagate.

on my end the DNS now seems mapped to github. I think there is something you need to do on the github side to register that website repo as 2024.foss4g.org for it to take effect.
I think it's somewhere probably at https://github.com/FOSS4G-2024-Belem/webpage/settings/pages
where you specify the site is 2024.foss4g.org

Hi, Rob! Thanks a lot for your suggestion and work on redirection. I changed the repo name to meet your request and it is working fine! We still have a few things to change to make it offical.

Is it possible for you to have it at https://foss4g-2024-belem.github.io/
Otherwise I have to setup a proxy on our webserver to handle it which feels a bit redundant.
If it is on the root of the subdomain then I can set CNAME 2024.foss4g.org directly to foss4g-2024.belem.github.io
