pretalx for QGIS User Conference 2024

Hello,

For QGIS User Conference 2024 (​https://uc2024.qgis.sk/) we would like to use pretalx hosted by OSGeo. Would it be possible to add myself as an admin (email wonder.sk@…), so that I can create the event and start call for papers?

A QGIS organizer was created

A General QGIS Admins team was created

With the following permissions:

• Can create events
• Can change teams and permissions
• Can change organiser settings
• Can change event settings
• Can work with and change proposals
• Is a reviewer

You should have received an invitation to the team.

You are welcome to create any QGIS event that is needed, so please, if you haven't done so, subscribe to: ​https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/conference-resources

Because requests to create pretalx event(s) for conferences will arrive there. Either with a ticket or by direct mail.

Therefore, if an event is QGIS related (like the "QGIS user 2024" you mention):

• Create the conference,
  • A global conference
    • QGIS user 2024
  • A local conference
    • QGIS user Mexico 2024
  • Local conference with more than one pretalx event:
    • QGIS user Belem 2024 general track
    • QGIS user Belem 2024 academic track
    • QGIS user Belem 2024 workshops

• Create a team that will grant control to the pretalx event(s)
  • with the following permissions
    • Can change event settings
    • Can work with and change proposals
    • Is a reviewer
  • When creating the group link it to the pretalx instance you created
  • Examples:
    • QGIS user 2024
    • QGIS user mexico 2024

You are welcome to add another member to the General QGIS admins that can help you out with this tasks.
