DKIM-signed emails on SolKatzAward list end in spam folder

Reported by: strk Owned by: sac@…
Priority: normal Milestone: Unplanned
Component: SysAdmin/Mailman Keywords: dkim, spf, dmarc
Cc:

Description

The message with Message-ID: <e4c333ab-19b0-e733-91a6-56b29c941dbe@ec.gc.ca> sent to SolKatzAward mailing list on May 9 2023 ended up in my spam folder because of:

Authentication-Results: spool.mail.gandi.net; dkim=fail ("body hash did not verify") header.d=ec.gc.ca header.s=selector1 header.b=HdthrUcz; arc=reject ("signature check failed: fail, {[1] =
        sig:microsoft.com:reject}"); dmarc=fail reason="SPF not aligned (relaxed)" header.from=ec.gc.ca (policy=none); spf=pass (spool.mail.gandi.net: domain of
        "SRS0=ZnJu=A6=lists.osgeo.org=solkatzaward-bounces@osgeo.org" designates 140.211.15.3 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom="SRS0=ZnJu=A6=lists.osgeo.org=solkatzaward-bounces@osgeo.org"

Needs be configured to deal with DMARC alleviation. See #3011

The signed headers were:

h=From:Date:Subject:Message-ID:Content-Type:MIME-Version:X-MS-Exchange-SenderADCheck;

The Subject was invalidated by adding the [SolKatzAward] prefix

Removing the subject prefix might result in passing validation but I'm not 100% sure about it.

Hi I am the admin of that list (and many others), let me know if anything needs changing. (I have already changed DMARC settings for many of the lists, per my original steps posted at https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/2475#comment:36 but I may have missed a few)

Thanks.
