Description
The OSGeo calendar shows i18n translated events only. This means that they all need to get translated so that people who surf OSGeo in their own language can see them.
This is unfortunate because translation is at best occurring haphazardly. I suggest to create a translations for all languages at least of the intl' events immediately when submitting to the calendar. They don't need to be translated right away but it is better to have en English language title than nothing at all.
Who owns the process of adding events to the OSGeo Portal?
I don't think that the translation can rely entirely on volunteers for this to happen.

This behaviour is the same as news nodes.
Creating a new translated node can be a responsibility of every language translator (at least creating the node). I'm doing that more or less quickly thanks to RSS feeds.
I'm afraid there's no perfect solution for this problem.

I've been submiting last events in the calendar. Everybody who wants to contribute is welcome anyway
if it make sense to create empty translations when posting, I'll do it next

Translations are haphazard. That's just the way we operate. :-) Closing this ticket.
Currently events are added by anyone with Drupal content creation priveledges which would make it very hard to enforce much consistency in how they are created.
