Description ¶
The public and private mailing lists for FOSS4G 2013 both need archiving. There has been no traffic other than spam on either of them for several months.
Thanks!

What about:
- Set up the moderation bit (no more mails)
- Moderate the subscription (maybe also do a mass removal of subscribers)
- Change the description to state the list is disabled
Here more details here about disabling the mail addresses, out of my mailman skills :)
Maybe there is a shorter or cleaner way to disable the list without removing it from the list nor removing the archives.

I think I have done as jsanz suggested for both lists. The moderator may still get a few subscribe requests which can be ignored, but hopefully things will otherwise be quiet, but still have readable archives.
I notice Mailman has this option ("Advertise this list when people ask what lists are on this machine?") but that would mean that all of the archives would be hidden. I'm not sure we have been ever asked this before. Anyone have ideas?
