Mirror for gvSIG Project

Description ¶
A new version of gvSIG Desktop is going to be released. This version is oriented to installation by packages from the Add-on manager.
Because of that, we are studying the possibility to have different mirrors for the downloads of the packages, in case of problems with the server where they are usually hosted.
For that it only would need a host with a maximum of 5 GB at the local disk, for the last versions. We would remove the old ones. We would include the url in the Add-on manager, giving the opportunity to choose different download options to the user.
Would it be possible to have a mirror in OSGeo?
Best regards,
Mario Carrera

Yes, we can mirror GvSig files on the OSGeo download server. I still need to confirm that we have enough room for 5 GB without needing to rearrange any of our current stuff.
Please comment on this ticket with a list of osgeo IDs that need access to upload.

OSGeo IDs that will need access to upload gvSIG files are "mcarrera" and "gvsig".

- I cleared some space.
- Added the 2 users to the shell group
- path is /osgeo/download/gvsig with group+w (make sure to toggle group+w after uploading files)
So it should be ready for you to try.

Assuming the task was completed (after 4 years of no feedback..)
