Alan, the inspire secs is going to be public early march. We will see after that what to add here. It might be something that can be done at the code sprint as TomK suggested.

Assefa: I believe Alan alluded to the section "Improved handling of wms_layer_group as real layers" of the RFC and that I think he was leaving to you.

Is this part going to be implemented or should it be taken out of the RFC? (I think it should be added if it's not too late)

It is not going to be in 6.0. This is an effort I intend to do as part of inspire, this is why this element was revived. It can be marked as future in the RFC.

Too bad. I think this would have been a useful feature independent of INSPIRE. For instance to allow grouping of a set of scale-dependent roads layers under a common and reachable "roads" group layer, while hiding the individual layers.

ows_enable_feature and friends seem to be implemented in version 6. I have trouble finding information about it in the documentation (except in RFC and track). I assumed that I would find it in the "OGC support and configuration" section.

I found the note in the FAQ. I think it should also be documented elsewhere. I could do something with the documentation, but I don't know too much about this.

havatv, you are right that this needs to be documented based on the contents of RFC-67 which is the only reference at the moment.

I'll reassign this ticket to the docs component since RFC-67 implementation was done in 6.0 and all that's missing is docs. The section "Improved handling of wms_layer_group as real layers" of the RFC which was not implemented in 6.0 should get its own RFC and ticket when time comes.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

I have tried to fix this for 6.0 and trunk documentation in r12054. I have only modified wms_server, wfs_server, wcs_server, sos_server documentation. Closing - please reopen with details on what needs to be done.

See also #3830: the DUMP keyword has been made obsolete by the new mechanism introduced in RFC 67

DUMP was removed from the OGC documents when fixing #3830 (r12604).
