#2345 closed defect (wontfix)

svg output: vector lines disjoined, labels ignore ANGLE AUTO, temp file not removed

Reported by: sieczka Owned by: assefa
Priority: normal Milestone: 6.0 release
Component: Output-SVG Version: 5.0
Severity: normal Keywords: svg labels
Cc:

Description

Applies to MS 5 and 4.10.2. See the attached SVG:

  1. The linecaps are not being set to round.
  1. Most labels ignore ANGLE AUTO (though not all; can't see a pattern for that).
  1. Every time I run shp2img to create an SVG output I get 2 SVGs - the output and it's copy named like "47067829_223b_0.svg"; seems a temporary file is not removed.

Issue 1 seems the same as one of the problems described in ticket #2344 for PDF output, where it's already fixed.

Sample data to reproduce the issues are attached.

Milestone: 5.6 release6.0 release

We should be able to use in version 6.0 the Cairo driver for svg. R=That will support all the same graphic setting than all the other outputs. Setting this to 6.0. Will close it when the Cairo output is solid enough and we can drop[ the direct svg output.

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

"drepricated". svg is now done through cairo and should respect all current mapserver rendering parameters.
